Maharashtra CET Exam 2017(MHT CET)

MHT CET 2018 exam is scheduled to be online which will be held May 2018 the registration process for exam MHT CET will the starting from may 2018 and the process will end by the declaration of merit list in July 2018. MHT CET is concerned to be the one of the most procedure Maharastra state for getting admission in repuated colleges in B.Tech. The Exam has three section English section will have 40 questions. The second will be reasoning based having 30 questions and the last section will have 30 GK questions. There are no negative marking in the exams.

What is MHTCET Entrance Exam :-

The Government of Maharashtra has established "ADMISSIONS REGULATING AUTHORITY AND STATE COMMON ENTRANCE TEST CELL" as per the provisions of the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions& Fees) Act. 2015(Mah. Act No.XXVIII of 2015), (herein after the Act).

The Commissioner of State CET Cell, has been designated as Competent Authority for conducting MHT-CET2018 and selection of candidates for admission to 4 Year Duration Full Time Under Graduate Degree courses in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and 5 Year Duration Full Time Under Graduate Degree course in Pharm D for the academic year 2018-2019.

MHT CET 2018 Eligibility Criteria :-

  • Students should have cleared or appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
  • Candidates must be Indian Nationals.
  • No age limit criteria for these courses.

MHT CET Exam Application Process :-

Steps to fill MHT CET 2018 Application Form

  • First of all Candidate do  register by entering personal details like email ID, phone number, etc 
  • During the registration, the applicants have to create their own password. Preserve this password for all future communications and references.
  • After registration process is complete, start filling in the online application form
  • Once they have filled the application form of MHT CET 2018, the desirous candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature not more than 50 KB in size.
  • Now they have to pay the application fee, which can be done only through online mode. The online application fee payment channels for MHT CET 2018 are Credit Card/Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), IMPS, Internet Banking, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets. Once the fee payment is done, candidates must take printout of the confirmation page of the application form submission page after the application filling process is complete. This printout is not supposed to be sent through post. 
  • The application fee is Rs.800 for general category candidates & Rs.600 for SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC & PwD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only. The fee payment is made through Credit Card/ Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. Candidates are suggested to keep the printouts of the application form for further use.

MHT CET Exam Reservation Details :-

MHT CET 2018 Reservation of Seats for Backward Class

50% of seats are reserved for candidates of backwards class categories belonging to the state of Maharashtra. Check the percentage of reservation of seats given below:

Reservation for Ward of Defence Service Personnel

5% of seats of the total intake of an institute is reserved for candidates who are a ward of Defence service personnel. Qualified and eligible candidates of MHT CET 2018 have to fulfill at least one of the following requirement to avail the reservation:

  • Children of active service personnel who are Domiciled in Maharashtra State (DEF-1)
  • Children of active service personnel who are Domiciled in Maharashtra State (DEF-2)
  • Children of active service personnel (DEF-3) who have been transferred to the state of Maharashtra but are not domiciled in Maharashtra State, or who are not domiciled in Maharashtra State but their families are stationed in Maharashtra state.

Reservation for Persons with Disability Candidates:

  • 3% of seats of total intake of all the institutions is reserved for candidates with disability. The 3% seats is further distributed to the following candidates:
  • 1% seats for visually impaired candidates
  • 1% seats for speech and hearing impaired candidates
  • 1% seats for Orthopaedic disorders, learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Spastic.
